STORM CROW MANOR
THE VILLAGE
—
The hotly-anticipated home of the “Nerdiest Bar in Canada” opened in October 2018 in a heritage Victorian mansion in the heart of the city’s Church-Wellesley Village. This Vancouver bar concept offers wildly themed rooms marrying sci-fi, fantasy, and a healthy dose of magic. The 15-month renovation required the grand home to be fully gutted, leveled and restored before Solid Design/Build’s meticulously-designed rooms could be installed. Executed with incredible attention to detail, the result is 5,000 square feet of geek heaven.
LAISSEZ FAIRE
KING WEST
—
A sophisticated new sibling to its downstairs counterpart Locals Only, Laissez Faire serves French-influenced plates and classic cocktails against a modern rustic backdrop. Designed by co-owner Jonathan Condren, the vintage-inspired aesthetic is restrained yet beautiful, with an open kitchen, intimate chef’s table, and plenty of Instagram-worthy moments.
BARO
KING STREET WEST
—
Designed by Solid Design/Build and headed by Chef Steven Gonzalez, Baro focuses on Latin-style dining, bringing South America’s dynamic food culture to Toronto. Mixing cocktails with industrial décor, warm wood tones, and copper details, this four-storey dining establishment features multiple bars, a special event space, and a lounge accessed by secret password.
BAR REYNA
YORKVILLE
—
This two-storey Victorian house was converted to Bar Reyna, a cocktail and snack bar with a year-round back patio for live entertainment. Jewel tones, leather banquettes, special weathered finishes and gold accent details warm the space, while custom-built bars on each floor set the stage for energetic gatherings.
EL PATIO
KING WEST
—
This outdoor patio bar is a hidden oasis tucked behind King West’s El Caballito Mexican restaurant. INTOR built custom cedar and steel booths and high-top tables, and completely retrofitted a shipping container with a fully-functional bar. Designed by Solid Design/Build, El Patio beckons tequila and taco lovers alike to the inviting backyard atmosphere.
